Magnum move over! Posted by Hello

Sunshine & Champers

What a fabulous weekend that was. Two good friends had a wedding and everything was perfect. From the evening sun dipping over the sea and the kids running riot in thier best clothes over the flowerbeds to the Elvis impersonator mid the evenign reception.

It was a mixed bag of entertainment really starting a little disco then my friend bringing out his drum kit and being suprisingly to all of us good to the attempt at turkish bellydancing by myself and the gang. Not a single fight and the only tears were my friends as her new husband went all out playing wipeout on the drums for her.

To top it off n the morning we all sat out on the veranda and looked to see laughing and joking about the night before the children arguing for attention in a cute way loking down on the grooms ferrari parked outside in a prime spot (one police friend had decided a parking ticket was needed as joke)

I thought well thats the end of that what a lovely time and even I didnt want it to end when Wayne (the groom) comes up and says well T I have a problem I cant get anything back home in the car Heathers car is jam packed (the bride) will you bring a few bits home for me. Of course we obliged and only to be confronted with the wedding dress (red satin with a 4 meter train and 8 layers of petty coat) over night bag and various presents.

Back to home and it was ok dump that there we have champage and a garden to check out and off we all traipsed burning hot sun and some good friends all sat drinking champagne feeling extravagant the only black cloud was one friend who had he call that morning he was off to Iraq how ever he inststed he would sleep off the champagne on the way to heathrow.

And me well.....

I got bad sunburn all because the wedding present i bought for them hadnt arrive A Sun parasol for the garden!!!

Cornish Sunrise Posted by Hello

Sunsets

I have spoken too a few people lately asking what is thier favorite scene and without fail I get the response sunsets, I dont tend to do the deep and meaningful business but you have to think why not sunrise?

I used to live in Cornwall and you could see the most amazing sunrises across the sea and cliffs and I always enjoyed them and the feeling of a new day another "fresh" start.

Maybe a little homesick today the sun and blue skies calling me to the sea. Picnic blanket some luxury foods adn a gentle breeze with a good book. The sort of days you dream of and never get.

Ive poped a phot on here that was taken By Tim Grundy and I think youll agree the deep red sunrise is spectacular.

Paradise day dreams! Posted by Hello

Grass

You know the way it goes, all the bvest intentions in the world thats why i titled this one "Grass" Basically I have been syaing for a week or more I must cut the grass but funnily enough days I say it are too grey and dull and days I could do it im somehow busy. Is this avoidance of grass cutting subconciously or maybe laziness?

As for my last day I had my hair coloured first time since my father gave me a Rod Stewart spike and highlight do when i was 14. I must admit I do like it and love the feeling when its done just how come next day it never looks the same??

not much to report at the moment but catch you back here sometime soon .

Oh and the picture is where I was in January and wish I was now :(

No not London Birmingham! Posted by Hello

Nice shoes! Posted by Hello

Birmingham

I Always mean to stay a few days in Birmingham rather than the usual one night and racing off after a show.

Show was Elvis Costello by the way and was absolutely fab as he got frustrated with the crowd and ended up jumping off stage announcing "if your all going to stay sat then im going to sit down" You never quite know what youll get at one of his concerts this time was a mixture of old and new but I feel that he wants everyone to pump it up jump up and down and always by the end hes got that from them with happy fans runing down to the stage and shouting comments which he usually snarls a reply. His new thing seems to be no encore just full out 2 and 3/4 hour minimum tracks one after the other pushing his band including Steve Naive to the max. Elvis' press was bad mind you as when the liverpool game was on and he was supposed to be in concert in Liverpool he decided to watch the game and started a full 2 hours late spat lots of songs at a disgruntled crowd not understanding why they were upset about him wanting to watch his Fave football team play.

Now what amazs me about Birmingham, well im sure there are rough areas but the centre broad street and the symphony hall area seem very clean and well kept there was no agravation that I could tell (all be it it was a Sunday night). the shopping area seems vast and a growing community. Next time remind me will you I must make sure i stay more than one night!
